A long time ago, Jasy, the moon goddess, and her friend Araí, the cloud goddess, decided to go down to earth to explore its wonders. Tired, they found a cabin in the forest, but were attacked by a jaguar. A brave hunter saved them and offered them shelter. Impressed by the hospitality and generosity of the hunter and his family, the goddesses decided to reward them.
Jasy sowed magical seeds that at dawn became trees with green leaves and white flowers. She explained to them that this plant, called "caá", would never allow them to feel alone and would be a special symbol of friendship for everyone. Jasy also determined that the hunter's daughter would be the owner of the plant, living forever without losing its goodness, innocence, and beauty. After showing them how to dry the leaves, Jasy prepared the first mate and offered it to them. Then, she returned satisfied to her post in heaven.
Over time, the hunter's daughter became the protective deity of yerba mate, known as Caá Yarí, taking care of its growth and whispering to the plants in the yerba mate.

Yerba mate is drunk from a gourd and shared as a sign of friendship. Its origins date back hundreds of years to South America.
1x tablespoon of loose leaf tea per cup. Splash of cold water (to avoid burning). Cover with boiling water and let sit for 5 minutes.
2x tablespoons per cup. Add it with the milk of your choice and feel free to sweeten it (we like it with maple syrup).
2 tablespoons per 250ml cold water (add lemon or ginger if desired), then refrigerate for 12 hours, strain and pour over ice.
